25 Days of Crafting - Day 1

As one of our Christmas countdowns we are doing a craft a day.  Each day one of the kids gets to do a special project  to hang on the garland in our kitchen window.  All of the materials needed are bundled together and wrapped up.  There are enough supplies so we can all do the project, but only the crafter of the day gets to hang their artwork in the window.

Day 1:  Gingerbread Men
My 5 year old daughter started us out.  We started with an easy one, so I could get other window decorations up,  a simple gingerbread man to cut out and color.

As an extra little treat I put a new Holiday Smencil in, one of those little things that always gets a big reaction from the kids.

Materials:
  • Gingerbread man template
  • Brown construction paper
  • Crayons, colored pencils, markers
  • Scissors

Directions:

  • Trace, cut, color!
